PG ELEKTRUS is an electric roadster created by the German company PG from Düsseldorf. If his figure seems familiar to you, it is probably because the vehicle is based on the Lotus Elise, but instead of the traditional internal combustion engine uses the power unit and lithium-ion battery. Germany also modified the chassis with carbon fiber components to reduce the weight of the car. Additionally PG ELEKTRUS has a solar panel mounted behind the driver’s seat, which collects solar energy and converts it into electricity supply lithium-ion battery.
Electric motor generates 272 hp power and the corresponding maximum torque of 350 Nm, available shortly after beginning of the space. PG ELEKTRUS accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 300 km / h (but it is unclear how long starczyłby energy reserve in the battery at that speed). PG also informed that a single battery charge PG ELEKTRUS enough to drive 350 km (and here again we do not know at what speed).
The German manufacturer also made sure that the vehicle did not appear on the road silently, like a ghost, which is typical for vehicles powered purely electrically. The driver can select one of a series of sounds that imitate “gang” real engines, including a Formula 1 car.
Germany plans to produce 667 copies of the PG ELEKTRUS model, and their prices will start from 240 000 euros.
